September Homeschool Day
Narrative, Memories, and Romare Bearden
Homeschool educators and students will experience the rich life of artist Romare Bearden through an interactive tour and workshop. See how Bearden translated his memories through visual art to create his own version of narrative in a series of dynamic collage paintings.

About Homeschool Days
Homeschool Days at the High Museum get a makeover! We have revamped our program to better fit the needs of homeschool students and educators. Classes are designed to serve small homeschool co-op groups and individual homeschool families.
Two-hour homeschool classes are held six times during the school year, starting in September. Each class focuses on a new theme, and participants are divided into classes by age. Classes take place in the art galleries and in the Greene Family Education Center. Homeschool educators can sign up their students for one session at a time or for a series of sessions. Homeschool educators, parents, and caregivers are encouraged to participate in a guided gallery tour while students are engaged in the workshop. Caregivers must remain at the Museum during the entirety of the program.
Costs are $11 per child and regular general admission for chaperones. The program is free for High Museum members. Participants can sign up for multiple sessions at a time.
